Solution - THE ROLE OF THE NURSE IN GLOBAL HEALTH

The two health problems are HIV and H1N1.

The developed country taken for the comparison is Russia and the developing country is India.

HIV is a very common in almost all the countries. It is a disease that is spreading overseas affecting many countries. In India, researches show that there are various risk groups which lead to HIV such as sex workers, sti clinic attendees and long-distance truck drivers. It is mostly common in rural areas in comparison to urban areas. Sarah Hawkes, KG Santhya (2002).

In Russia, thenumbers of HIV patients have doubled annually since 1996. In 2006, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that HIV is a threat to country national security and at the same time he also proposed a plan to manage it. But the problem is that the governments have minimized their involvement to evacuate this disease. Yuri A Amirkhanian et al. (2003)

In USA, HIV is common among the Hispanic youth. The plan used to reduce the HIV among Hispanic youth also helped in eliminating health disparities between Hispanics and other segments of the population. Suniti Solomon et al. (2004)

In India, H1N1 virus has spread very rapidly after it was first analyzed in Vellore in 20091 Saseendran Pallikadavath et al. (2005).8 The awareness of this disease was least among the people and only a few would believe that it would seriously affect the victim. Punam Mangtani et al. (2009)

In Russia, also the disease affected in the same year that of India. There the government took complete responsibility and tried to evacuate the disease. Guillermo Prado, Hilda Pantin (2011)

In USA, the awareness for this disease is the highest and 70% of the cases are registered in the hospital. The response for the evacuation of the disease is the best. Roxanna Sjostedt (2008)
