But, it is different from the conventional ones, as it is (Antón-Pacheco et al., 2016) totally dissolved into the bloodstream after its purpose is served following the surgical inosculation. The advantage of these over the conventional ones is that- the conventional stents were metallic in nature. It could impose further complications in the long run, staying in the human body.
