As an early childhood educator, I am intended to develop a strong, capable and resourceful child who can turn out to be a mighty learner and citizen. I hold a belief of developmental, socio-cultural and post foundational perspective of learning. On the basis of the developmental perspective of learning, children are considered to get nurtured in universal stages and ages towards maturity. Based on this belief, ECE is considered as the foundation for children and consider them as active learners. The developmental perspective will help to develop the ability to catch, hold, and learn the educational naturally playful way. They will easily be able to create a bond with us and other caring adults. Similarly, the sociocultural perspective of learning considers the children as active as well as social learners in context to economic, cultural, political, and social aspects that influence what and how they learn (Follari, 2015). Through active socio-cultural learning that able to understand the effect of family, cultural practices, society, and tradition in their learning processes. From this perspective, the child is considered as an individual who has an identity in the form of a citizen and learner, who is able to make things happen. Being an educator, this perspective helps us in considering that their cultural behavior is reflective of their family, society, and cultural feeding practices. The post-foundation perspective of learning evaluates early childhood learning issues related to fairness, equity, and equality. When these views are considered together in the early childhood environment, then the image of the child will result as strong, rich, confident and capable. As an educator, I strongly support such an image of the children who are capable and competent in this competitive world. This perspective will help me to understand that "play" is the domain of the child. The philosophy of the learning process through play supports the belief that children develop through the predictable stages of play.
In conclusion, ECE helps in the integral and harmonious development of the child's behavior. It is important for educators to be involved in promoting the learning process through one-to-one interaction with children by sparing sufficient time for interaction and conversation. In particular, they should interact with babies and toddlers as they lack proper communication skills.
