Challenges and development-At present, Higher Colleges of Technology is aimed at identifying the challenges externally and internally whereas the United Arab Emirates University is focused on the administrative development.

Industrial training and teaching methods-Higher Colleges of Technology have planned to incorporate an approach which is aligned with the standards of the respective industry. However, the United Arab Emirates University is primarily focused over the development of the methods and procedures with reference to teaching.

Factors involving transformations
